Emily Normand, M.Ed, NCC.

6th grade School Counselor-Class of 2029

Hello! I am Ms. Normand and I am so excited to introduce myself to you as the 6th Grade School Counselor. I have spent the last 14 years as a school counselor at a local district, and I am thrilled to have returned "home" to MMS!  I graduated from Mechanicsburg High School in 2000.  I am a proud Wildcat and I am thankful to be working here.

I earned my Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Shippensburg University in 2004 and graduated with my Master's Degree in Counseling in 2007. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor and am currently pursuing my license. I live locally with my two daughters and my cat, Gilbert. 

I am here to support your child and promote emotional, personal, academic and social success.  I am looking forward to working with you and your child this coming year!
