Greetings new sixth graders! If you came to my site hoping to learn a little bit about me before school starts, you're in luck!
My name is Mrs. Smith, and I am so excited to meet you on your first day of school! You are going through SO many changes right now, and it's a difficult time to be entering a brand new school building. Try not to worry, we will take great care of you while you are here, and we will take things slowly the first few weeks so that we can get to know each other, and you can get to know your new school. With all the changes, I feel like I'm new to the building as well, so you're in good company!
This will be my 17th year teaching here at MMS, and I couldn't be more excited! I've had a fairly relaxing summer at home with my family, but I am ready to return to my classroom, and very excited that you will be joining me here!
Below this is a video tour of my classroom. Please take the time to watch if you'd like to see what it will be like being in a 6th grade science room this school year.
Note: If you are a 7th grader who has me for class this year, you will NOT be coming to my room, I will come to you downstairs in the Navigator's hallway. The basic layout of the room is the same, but not identical.
