In April of 2011, the Career Exploration Center was recognized by the Shippensburg University School Study Council as a recipient of the 2011 Exemplary Program Award. The School Study Council and Shippensburg University congratulated and recognized Mrs. Andrea Clark (former Career Exploration Center Coordinator) for her work in providing exemplary and innovative career exploration programming for the students of Mechanicsburg Middle School. Mr. Leonard R. Ference, former MMS Principal, and Ms. Meg Rieley, MMS School Counselor, were in attendance for the award program and luncheon.
