Welcome to Mechanicsburg Middle School!  I am Mrs. Kelly Ziegler, one of the Assistant Principals at MMS.  I have been in middle school education for 27 years and enjoy working with adolescents as they navigate through an ever-changing time in their lives.  The 2023/2024 school year will be my third year as part of the MMS family.

Once you walk through our doors, you will begin the journey of middle school learning, experiences, and friendships.  A goal is to feel that you belong in our school, as we believe in the AMLE’s beliefs for Middle School Education.  The Association for Middle-Level Education identifies five attributes of a successful middle school:

• Engaging

I share these attributes with you so we can be transparent in our decisions and planning for our students.  During these next few years, we believe that through these experiences and opportunities, our students will grow academically, emotionally, and socially.  I believe your child’s team of teachers will provide these opportunities as the year unfolds.
