Course Expectations

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome to MMS! I am excited to meet and grow together as the year progresses.

Middle school comes with a lot of change; to be successful in this transition, we need to work as a team – parent, student, and teacher. Below is a description of expectations for our 6th grader.

Expectations:

Come to class prepared with the necessary tools. Pencils, binder, agenda book, laptop, and earbuds are essential.

  • Have assignments handed in on time.

  • Fill your agenda book in on a daily/weekly basis.

  • Have a book to read with you in class each day.

Grades:

Grades are based on total points. These will be accumulated throughout each marking period. Parents and students may check grades at any time by logging on to Sapphire through the district’s web site. Students are welcome to discuss a grade with me at any time.

Homework:

  • Each reading student is expected to read for 20 minutes daily.

  • When a class assignment is late, students will lose points.

  • When you miss a class due to sectionals, sports, or absence, it is the student’s responsibility to see the teacher to find the assignment missed and all expectations for that assignment.
