💕 Last week's Pink Out was more than a color—it was a symbol of support, strength, and community. Shoutout to Elmwood Academy's Alenna Condran and Diann Booth for going all-in on the pink and spreading positivity wherever they go!

🧦🎉 HEY MR. ARVEY, YOU KNOCKED OUR SOCKS OFF // Shoutout to Josh Arvey for keeping safety top of mind! When he noticed something out of the ordinary outside his classroom window at Elmwood Academy, he did exactly what we encourage everyone to do—he quickly checked in with the office. It turned out to be nothing at all, but his quick thinking was the perfect example of “See Something, Say Something.” Thank you, Josh, for always looking out for our Wildcats and helping keep our schools safe. You Knocked Our Socks Off!

Elmwood teachers grew their professional learning today during our Staff Only Day. Dr. Wil van der Veen helped equip our 4th and 5th grade science teachers pursuit towards Next Generation Science Standards. 4th grade ELA/SS teachers visited the Cumberland County Historical Society to deepen our background knowledge of local history (pictured here) which will inform our teaching.

☔💜 In the middle of this morning’s downpour, one act of kindness stood out. As Wildcats arrived and the halls at Elmwood Academy filled with damp shoes and dripping umbrellas, Librarian Nate Chesky saw a student on crutches and knew the slick floors could be a risk. Without hesitation, he scooped her onto his back and carried her safely to class.

For this thoughtful act, he earned a visit from Dr. Bitz, who presented Mr. Chesky with a pair of our You Knocked Our Socks Off socks 🧦 — a small token of gratitude for going above and beyond.

Moments like this remind us what it means to be part of the Wildcat Family—looking out for one another, rain or shine. 🌟

📸 Special shoutout to 4th grade teacher Heather Strock for capturing this moment in action, and sharing for us to celebrate.

🌍✉️ GLOBAL CONNECTIONS // Wildcats in Joshua Arvey’s class at Elmwood Academy recently teamed up with students in France for a special pen pal project. To help their new friends get to know them, students snapped photos showing who they are and where they live—then paired each picture with a caption to bring it to life.

From snapshots of our school to scenes across the community, these Wildcats are spreading the Wildcat Way across the ocean. 💌🐾

📸 Shoutout to Mr. Arvey for capturing this globe-trotting learning activity in action.

Representative Thomas Kutz visits our school frequently to read to our students and engage with them. Today, he read to Mrs. Himmel's class. Even our facility dog Sunny enjoyed listening and learning about the three branches of government.

🎤 Nathaniel, a Wildcat at Elmwood Academy, showcased his leadership and communication skills on the morning announcements yesterday… and he’s not stopping there!

🍋 This afternoon, you can find him running a lemonade stand from 12–3 p.m. at the Upper Allen JoJo’s parking lot—all to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Way to use your voice and your heart to make a difference, Wildcat! 💛

📸 Thank you to Assistant Principal Keith Shively for capturing our Wildcat in action.
