Academics

The Director of Academic Program leads curriculum, instruction, and assessment, which plays a vital role in advancing teaching and learning across the district. This department is responsible for developing and refining curriculum, supporting instructional practices, and designing assessments that help measure and promote student growth.

With a focus on aligning curriculum to state and national standards, the team provides professional development for educators and ensures that instructional strategies are research-based and effective. The department also oversees the administration of assessments to inform instruction and track student progress.

Collaboration is central to this work. The Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment department partners with other district departments—including Special Education, English Language Development, and Student Services—to create a cohesive, inclusive, and equitable learning experience for all students.
