☃️ DO YOU WANT TO BUILD A SNOWMAN? // Our 8th-grade Pathfinders at MMS took on a chilly STEM challenge ... and warmed things up with creativity. Using just a yardstick of tape, one roll of toilet paper, and a bit of construction paper, students engineered some snow-tastic snowmen.

Problem-solving, teamwork, and a whole lot of imagination on display. ❄️🤍

💬 Sometimes the most important conversations happen at the lunch table. That's why Officer Mark takes time to connect with students and build trust and relationships, helping ensure our schools remain places where students feel comfortable, supported, and part of the Wildcat community. Thank you for being part of the team, Officer Mark! #WildcatPride

Special shoutout to our crews at MASD and the road crews in our local municipalities and PennDOT for all of their hard work in making sure roads, parking lots, and sidewalks are passable and safe for our Wildcats!

🧦 HEY ALEX, YOU KNOCKED OUR SOCKS OFF // Wildcat applause for Alex Bartoldson, 6th grade Social Studies teacher on the Ambassadors Team at MMS.

Alex went above and beyond to inspire her students during the annual food drive — creating a fun incentive, organizing donations, and even turning her classroom into the collection hub. Thanks to her leadership and encouragement, the team brought in an amazing 1,100 food items for our community! 💜

Her dedication to service, teamwork, and community spirit truly #KnockedOurSocksOff.

🦃 We’re thankful for smiles, laughs, learning — and you, Wildcats!

Our staff at Mechanicsburg Middle School brought a little extra cheer (and a whole lot of giggles) with their turkey hats yesterday, reminding us that joy and connection are some of the best parts of school. 💛 Wishing our Wildcat community a season filled with warmth, gratitude, and plenty of reasons to smile.

🎶 Our talented musicians from MMS have been everywhere this November — and we're loving every note.

🎤 Last week, several Wildcats took the stage at the Sweet Soundsations festival at Central Dauphin Middle School, joining young musicians from across Pennsylvania to rehearse with a guest conductor and put on a beautiful concert. And today, more of our singers are representing MASD at the Octavators festival at Cedar Cliff High School. Over 160 student musicians from around the state came together to form one powerhouse Octavators choir.

We’re so proud of our young vocalists for sharing their gifts, stepping into new opportunities, and making music that connects us all. 🐾

🐾 Wildcats are staying busy, even after the final bell of the day. In partnership with Mechanicsburg Area Recreation Department, Mechanicsburg MIddle School is buzzing with energy thanks to the MAPS after-school activities program. Twice a week this fall, students and staff came together to try new things, build friendships, stay connected, and simply have fun.

From The Babysitters Club and Dungeons & Dragons to Board Games, Drawing, and Esports—there’s no shortage of laughter, creativity, and connection happening throughout the building.

MAPS will return this spring with a whole new lineup of activities exclusively for our Wildcats in grades 6–8. Stay tuned… great things will continue.

📸 Special thanks to Melissa Coffman for snapping photos of MAPS in action.

💛 WORLD KINDNESS DAY, PART 3 // Our Mechanicsburg Middle School Student Advisory brought smiles (and snacks!) to staff recently with a thoughtful — and delicious — surprise. 🥨 Every staff member received a soft pretzel paired with the perfect message: Don’t get twisted — this year would knot be the same without staff like you.

A little appreciation goes a long way, and our Wildcats continue to show just how powerful kindness can be. 🐾

💙❤️ HEROES IN OUR HALLS // In what has become a beloved tradition, Mechanicsburg Middle School welcomed veterans to the school yesterday for a special Heroes in Our Halls celebration.

The morning was filled with music, student speeches, and heartfelt moments as veterans were honored for their service and sacrifice. The event concluded with a powerful walk through the hallways—Wildcats lining the corridors, waving flags, clapping, and cheering to show their appreciation. 🇺🇸

We are deeply grateful to all who have served and to our MMS students and staff for making this meaningful tribute so special.
