I am excited to work with our students, families, staff, and community to support student growth, achievement, and well-being.

As a school counselor, my goal is to help every student develop the academic, social-emotional, and career readiness skills needed to succeed both in school and beyond. I believe every student has unique strengths and talents, and I am committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where each student feels valued, respected, and empowered.

Throughout the school year, I support students through individual meetings, small groups, and classroom lessons focused on academic planning, personal and social development, goal setting, problem-solving, and future planning. I also collaborate closely with families, teachers, administrators, and community partners to ensure students have the resources and support they need to thrive.

About Me

My name is Olivia Erb, and I am the 8th Grade School Counselor at Mechanicsburg Middle School. I am excited to return to MMS for my second year and continue supporting our students, families, and staff. This year marks my fifth year as a school counselor.

Originally from Williamsport, Pennsylvania, I graduated from Williamsport Area High School in 2014. I earned my bachelor’s degree from The Pennsylvania State University in 2018 and my master’s degree in School Counseling from Messiah University in 2022.

Middle school is a time of tremendous growth, learning, and self-discovery. I am passionate about helping students build confidence, develop positive relationships, strengthen problem-solving skills, and navigate the challenges of adolescence. My goal is to support students socially, emotionally, and academically while helping them recognize their strengths and achieve their goals.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, participating in CrossFit and Pilates, exploring new restaurants, trying new foods, and cheering on my favorite basketball teams. My favorite way to relax and recharge is spending time at the beach whenever I have the opportunity.

I am proud to be a Wildcat and look forward to working with and supporting our students throughout their time at Mechanicsburg Middle School.
