M.M.S. Advisory Program
The P.A.S.S. Program at M.M.S. is an advisory program designed to give our students the opportunity to develop a personal relationship with an adult staff member in our school. All students in grades 6, 7, and 8, participate in the program, which occurs twice a month for 40 minutes.
Each student is assigned to a group of 12-15 students (two adults, per homeroom) and the group meets with the adult staff member to share experiences, do activities designated by the P.A.S.S. curriculum, and develop relationships that assist the student to be the best he/she can be here at M.M.S.
Advisory Programs are research-based and considered best practice for middle school students based on the theory that every middle school student should have at least one adult with whom they can develop a meaningful relationship. It is our hope that, through this program, all students have the opportunity to be heard and appreciated.
